“Living my ancestors’ wildest dreams through storytelling, collective healing, and empowering leaders.”

TaLisa Ramos
Founder & Chief Visionary Officer
TaLisa Ramos is a community-rooted storyteller, Caribbean creative, decolonial educator, and cultural strategist whose work lives at the intersection of healing, identity, and ancestral memory. A proud first-generation college graduate trauma therapist, and culturally responsive death doula she has spent her career walking alongside individuals and communities as they navigate grief, identity, belonging, resilience, and transformation.
Grounded in her Puerto Rican roots, TaLisa uses storytelling as medicine. Through personal narrative, cultural wisdom, and community-rooted dialogue, she creates spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, their histories, and one another. Her work explores what it means to live between cultures, carry the dreams of those who came before us, and build pathways for those yet to come.
As the founder of The Ancestral Healing Collective and creator of the Boricua Social Work project, TaLisa is committed to uplifting culturally responsive and decolonial approaches to healing within Puerto Rican communities on the island and throughout the diaspora. Boricua Social Work serves as a platform for storytelling, education, community building, and professional development, centering the lived experiences, cultural strengths, and collective wisdom of Boricuas while advancing conversations around mental health, intergenerational healing, identity, and liberation.
TaLisa is also an exclusive speaker with CoolSpeak, partnering with schools, colleges, organizations, and communities across the country to facilitate conversations on mental health, cultural identity, leadership, belonging, collective care, and resilience. Whether standing on a keynote stage, sitting in a circle with young people, facilitating professional development, or holding space at the end of life, she approaches every encounter with the belief that our stories have the power to heal, connect, and transform.
Throughout her career, TaLisa has worked across healthcare, higher education, government, and community-based organizations, always centering humanity, culture, and lived experience. Her work is an invitation to remember that we are not disconnected from our roots, we are extensions of them. Through every story shared and every space she enters, TaLisa encourages others to stay rooted in who they are, honor where they come from, and imagine what becomes possible when healing happens in community.
Let’s heal and grow together toward liberation.
